Aaron is a native of New England. He grew up in Massachusetts, and then attended high school and college in Vermont. Aaron received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Vermont, from which he graduated with magna cum laude honors in 1995. Aaron then moved to Florida in 1997, where he attended Stetson University College of Law. While at Stetson, Aaron received the award for Most Outstanding Editor of the Stetson Law Review; received the James Carlisle Rogers, Jr. Award for best critical paper on a Supreme Court line of cases; published a case note in the Stetson Law Review; and received Dean’s List and Honor Roll honors. Aaron graduated from Stetson with cum laude honors.
After law school, Aaron was awarded a clerkship at the Florida Supreme Court, where he served under Justice, Barbara J. Pariente. His primary responsibility was drafting Florida Supreme Court opinions for publication. As part of the publication process, Aaron advised the Court on the resolution of cases, drafted opinions, and worked the opinions through the editorial process to publication.
Aaron’s experience at the Florida Supreme Court prepared him for the niche he would create in private practice. While Aaron is experienced in every aspect of litigation – from discovery and motion practice, to trial, and appeal – his focus is on the appellate aspects of litigation. Before joining the firm, Aaron was an associate attorney at Barnett & Associates, which merged with the firm in June 2014. Before Barnett and Associates, Aaron practiced primarily in the field of commercial litigation with two Tampa law firms.
