“Technology at Trial” will focus on cutting-edge technological approaches to maximize a lawyer’s impact with the jury, while minimizing their expense to try the case. This two-hour CLE will cover the hardware necessary to present exhibits digitally to the jury, optional equipment to add additional functionality, recommended applications for use at trial, as well as real-time examples of how those apps function and appear to the jury. The program will primarily cover Apple-based equipment, though most of the material is equally applicable to other platforms.
partner at Dwyer Williams Dretke Attorneys, P.C., in Bend, Oregon, has been practicing law since 2003 in the areas of professional malpractice, nursing home abuse, sex abuse, commercial vehicle collisions, product liability, premises liability and plaintiffs’ personal injury involving catastrophic injury or death. Tim is the principal litigation attorney in his firm, which is comprised of four lawyers with six offices located across the state of Oregon. He is a frequent CLE speaker and author on litigation topics for the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, American Association for Justice, and Oregon State Bar. Tim currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, and is Parliamentarian of that organization. Tim is an author of numerous OTLA publications, and has chaired many of OTLA’s committees. He also serves on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice, as well as on its Executive Committee, and has served on and chaired several of its committees. Additionally, he recently served on the Board of Governors, including serving as its Vice President in 2016. He is a past chair of the Oregon State Bar's Litigation Section Executive Committee. He is also an author of the Oregon State Bar's Torts Practice Aid materials on the topic of misuse of legal procedure, a longtime member of the Oregon State Bar House of Delegates, a Fellow of the Oregon State Bar's Leadership College, past member of the Oregon State Bar Uniform Jury Instruction Committee, a past president of the J.R. Campbell American Inns of Court, and is a member of the United States Supreme Court and the Pound Civil Justice Institute. He has been honored as a Super Lawyer, is Martindale-Hubbell AV Rated, and is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He has also been awarded numerous honors from numerous organizations as a top attorney in his field, including several “Top 100 Trial Attorney,” “Top 1%” and “Top 40 under 40” awards.
