Anna is a senior associate in GrayRobinson’s Tampa office and a member of the firm’s Nationwide Alcohol Beverage & Food Law Department. She focuses her practice on matters relating to regulated products, including laws governing the alcohol beverage, food, cosmetics, cannabis, and tobacco industries. Anna counsels companies about how to comply with the complex variety of federal, state, and local rules and regulations that govern the manufacturing, distribution, marketing, sale, and consumption of these heavily regulated products. She handles licensing and regulatory compliance issues for members of the alcohol beverage industry, tobacco industry and food industry. She has extensive experience working with state and local regulatory agencies and government officials across the country and regularly assists clients with licensing across multiple industries, including national retail chains. Anna also has managed numerous multi-state licensing projects resulting from mergers and acquisitions that involve hundreds of locations and thousands of licenses for retailers.
Anna was born in Washington D.C., but raised in the Tampa Bay area. She obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in political science from the University of Miami. After college, she moved to Washington D.C. to work as a Legislative Assistant for U.S. Congressman Jim Davis. Anna then received her law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where she was awarded a Public Interest Fellowship. Following her graduation from law school, Anna returned to Washington D.C. to work with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as Regulatory Counsel for the Agency’s Center for Tobacco Products in the Office of Compliance and Enforcement. She subsequently was promoted to serve as a member of the policy staff for the FDA’s Office of Policy and Risk Management in the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA). Following her work with the FDA, Anna returned to the Tampa Bay area for a federal judicial clerkship with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida. After completion of the federal clerkship, Anna left the public sector to join GrayRobinson as a member of the firm’s nationwide Alcohol Beverage and Food Law Department.
