About Steve Kirby

Born of scientists and one of 5 brothers I grew up in Austin, Texas. I learned how to fight at a young age. I was from a very patriotic family and in 1968 I joined the Marine Corps and served with honor and distinction in a time our nation was in chaos. I was medically discharged due to injuries incurred in service. I barely graduated from University of Northridge and later graduated from West Los Angeles School of Law where I met my wife and lifetime partner and the sole of my existence. We have 2 children and 4 grandchildren and have been married 41 years legally.

I began my career trying criminal and ud cases all over southern California. I have represented major corporations and done SELF INSURED work and excess work for Defense carriers. I quit doing Defense work and started doing motorcycle Plaintiff’s work in 1995 and have done so ever since. I have tried and settled cases in California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas.

My wife and I have enjoyed our work together and Margaret has run my office for over 40 years. I try cases and she settles the vast majority of cases we handle. We have a nephew who has joined us as a lawyer and my staff has all been with us over 30 years.

Steve decided to focus his practice on Plaintiff's personal injury work and specifically, Steve's passion, motorcycle injury accidents. Steve had ridden motorcycles since he got out of the Marine Corps in 1971 and put together engines at night while he attended Law School during the day. The hallmark of his practice is his personal service to his clients. He has tried cases throughout California from Redding to San Diego.
