Course Description

Live Webcast - June 17th, 2019

  • 7:00-8:00am PST / 8:00-9:00am MST / 9:00-10:00am CST / 10:00-11:00am EST

Cruise ships employ trained doctors, nurses and have a fairly advanced infirmary capable of handling many medical situations. However, there are limitations and emergencies which require much more advanced medical care and beyond the capabilities of cruise ship infirmaries and physician’s experience. Operational decisions must be factored into any clinical treatment plan for emergency patients. This CLE will cover all aspects of cruise ship medicine from applicable case law, standards, chain of command, operational issues, and more.
