Andrea DeMichael is an experienced litigator who is passionate about fundamental and human rights. She began her career as a prosecutor, during which she handled all facets of misdemeanor and felony cases from charging decisions to trials to appeals. Thereafter she moved to a private defense firm where she successfully defended clients charged with serious felonies. As a defense attorney, she gained international recognition for her representation of a young girl charged in the death of a classmate. The case was featured in several media outlets such as Fox News, CNN, ABC, CBS, US News, Cosmopolitan, BuzzFeed, NY Daily News, The Today Show, and the Daily Mail UK. Andrea has also advocated for victims of domestic abuse for the United States Navy service members and their families. As an advocate, she not only supported her clients, she educated the military community about unhealthy relationships and how to escape them which earned her several commendation coins and an award from San Diego’s mayor. Having experience with criminal, employment discrimination, police misconduct, wrongful arrest, and insurance defense, Andrea’s legal acumen is sought after in various roles because she is able to fairly and accurately evaluate cases from many angles.
