Lauren Suarez is an associate attorney in our office. Ms. Suarez assists our attorneys with multiple client matters before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department (EDD), and the State Board of Equalization (SBOE).
Prior to joining our firm, Ms. Suarez was a tax associate at BDO USA, LLP where she worked in the compliance area of tax return preparation for corporations, partnerships, and individuals. She also acquired a large number of sales and use tax knowledge from previous industry experiences.
Ms. Suarez was born and raised in San Diego, California. She attended Loyola University of Chicago for her undergraduate work where she majored in English with minors in Political Science and Business Administration. After college, she went on to receive her Juris Doctor with a concentration in Business and Taxation from the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, CA. While at McGeorge, Ms. Suarez was a member of the McGeorge Tax Law Society, participated in the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, and was involved in the Franchise Tax Board internships for sales and use and income tax.
