Attorney Marlynn R. Jones is passionate about the ADA. She serves Florida International University (FIU) as Assistant Director, Equal Opportunity Programs and Diversity and Deputy Title IX Coordinator. Previously, she was Acting EEO and Title IX Coordinator at North Carolina Central University. In both university positions, she managed accommodation requests from employees and job applicants. She investigates claims of discrimination based on actions that violate Title VII and Title IX and provides training presentations for faculty and staff members.
Jones is a member of the Florida and District of Columbia Bar Associations. She was a Supreme Court of Florida Certified County Court Mediator from 2000-2004. She teaches Human Resources Management for Parks, Recreation and Sports, Management for Sports and Recreation, and Law and Liability in Sports and Recreation at FIU; and Sports Law and Risk Management at the University of Valley Forge. She previously taught Legal Issues in Athletic Administration at North Carolina Central University, as well as Legal Issues in Sport/Leisure Management and Personnel Management at Florida A&M University.
