More than 44 million Americans are burdened with over $1.5 trillion of student loan debt. Although student loan debt is difficult to discharge in bankruptcy, it is not impossible. More and more debtors are seeking bankruptcy relief for student loan debt. Are you prepared to assist your clients with this process?
This course, presented by bankruptcy attorney Natalie Jean-Baptiste, will give you a clear understanding of student loan litigation from case evaluation and intake to trial.
Natalie Jean-Baptiste is a solo practitioner at Law Office of Natalie Jean-Baptiste, P.C., in Uniondale, New York, where she focuses primarily on bankruptcy and consumer law. She is especially dedicated to assisting student loan borrowers in financial distress and founded a student loan counseling service to empower student loan debtors with the information and tools they need to manage their debt. Prior to launching her own practice, Natalie worked for many years in the music industry where she handled various contracts for superstar acts like Alicia Keys & Janet Jackson. She is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Ms. Jean-Baptiste earned her undergraduate degree from Fordham University, where she majored in Communication and Media Studies and minored in Business Administration and her J.D. from New York Law School.
