The court has ordered your civil litigation matter for alternate dispute resolution, and a mediation date has been set.  What steps should you take to protect your client’s interests? An overview of the mediation process will be discussed, including selection of an appropriate mediator, what to include in a mediation brief, the critical differences between legal issues and parties’ interests, how to deal with high conflict personalities, and the value of a mediator’s proposal. Practice tips will be offered for the benefit of newer practitioners as well as seasoned veterans.

His mediation experience is enhanced by his depth of experience as an attorney whose forty-year practice focused on both plaintiff and defense work in the areas of catastrophic personal injury, insurance litigation, construction litigation, business litigation, and air crash litigation.
