As a native of Florida, born in Hialeah and raised in Hollywood, Diane P. Perez understands the dynamics of the state, especially the residents and companies she serves throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. As a second-generation Cuban-American, the law firm she put her name to, Diane Perez, P.A., focuses on employment law litigation and counseling and represents both employers and employees in federal and state courts and before federal, state and local agencies. Ms. Perez served as an Associate Editor for the University of Miami International and Comparative Law Review while earning her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. Before opening her firm, she gained practical experience in the field of employment law during her tenure with three national labor and employment law firms, exclusively representing management in a variety of labor and employment law matters. She also taught on employment-related issues before the Florida Institute of CPAs and the Cuban-American CPAs Association. She has spoken at the ABA’s Mid-Year meeting on equal pay and on hiring, firing and disciplining for The Seminar Group. She has also spoken to the Dade County Bar Association on other labor and employment law matters.
