Protection of a person’s health and medical records has long worried every provider of healthcare services. This course will cover the Health Insurance Privacy and Accountability Act, the Federal law governing disclosure of protected health information. We will discuss an overview of the regulations contained in HIPAA, the processes necessary for compliant disclosure and items those advising healthcare providers must be aware of.

1 General Credit

ProLawCLE will seek approval of any CLE program where the registering attorney is primarily licensed with exceptions stated below. Application is made at the time an attorney registers for a course, therefore approval may not be received at the time of broadcasting.
