This presentation provides an introduction to and overview of asylum law and the asylum process in the United States. With practitioner’s pointers and case law examples, the audience will gain a comprehensive review of the asylum application process including filing procedures and court proceedings. The audience will gain an understanding on how to file, support and litigate an asylum application.
Theresa Napolitano is founder of TN Global, LLC. Based in the New York office, Theresa manages the overseas operations of TN Global, LLC. As an attorney, she concentrates exclusively in immigration and nationality law within the United States. Theresa provides immigration consultations and represents clients at U.S. consulates world wide.
Prior to establishing TN Global, LLC, Theresa was partner in a US based law firm in New York. Early in her career, she was an associate attorney at a private law firm handling civil and tort litigation. She is a graduate of Seton Hall University School of Law in Newark, New Jersey and completed a course of study in European Union Law at Lund University in Lund, Sweden. As a Fulbright Scholar, Theresa researched defense systems of the Baltic Region in affiliation with the Albert Einstein Center for Non Violence at Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts. While researching in Sweden, she also assisted in the re-drafting of the Lithuanian Criminal Code.
1.5 General Credit
ProLawCLE will seek approval of any CLE program where the registering attorney is primarily licensed with exceptions stated below. Application is made at the time an attorney registers for a course, therefore approval may not be received at the time of broadcasting.
ProLawCLE does not seek approval in the state of Virginia.
