Course Description

This recorded CLE webinar will examine the state of cyber insurance in 2020. Panelists discuss the basics of cyber insurance, including policy types and coverage options, as well as risks and cyber policy concerns. The exposure landscape for data privacy and regulatory compliance has always been a challenge and the threat landscape will only continue evolve as new risks are introduced.

    Jeff Boogay is a Partner at Mullen Coughlin LLC. Mr. Boogay assists clients in both preparation for and response to data security events and regulatory investigations and inquiries. After a data security event has occurred, Mr. Boogay assists clients in addressing crucial points of fact and law, including: determining the nature and scope of the intrusion; identifying the affected individuals and types of information involved; determining what state, federal and foreign laws govern the client’s notice of the incident; and preparing legally compliant notices to affected individuals and appropriate regulators, where required.

    Shiraz Saeed is the National Practice Leader of Cyber Risk for Starr Companies. He is responsible for the strategic planning and management of the Cyber Risk portfolio of business for Starr Companies for the United States Territory. This encompasses the formulation and execution on strategy for underwriting, product development, distribution and marketing relating to Cyber Risk insurance products/services.
