Course Description

This course was recorded on September 21st, 2017

Housing foreclosures are down from a peak of 3.5 million in 2011 to an annual level of 427,000 in 2016. Despite this there are still a large number of foreclosures. Some of the states still producing large numbers of foreclosures per capita are NJ, Del, Maryland, Conn, Florida, Ill, Ohio, Nevada and Mass. As you can tell the east and Midwest are having the most per capta foreclosures as of June 2017.
At the same time, the Federal Reserve has issued a report in August of 2017 that says that household debt levels are over the peak of 2007, just before the crash. Is there another bubble building?
This CLE in foreclosure defense is meant to provide the general practitioner with some of the fundamentals for foreclosure defense. The course will provide you with the framework for state foreclosure laws, issue spotting, potential defenses and practical practice tips for taking and managing these types of cases.
