The purpose of this presentation is to provide each Conference Attendee – Manufacturers, Management, Distributors, Licensees, Contractors and their Staff, with basic information regarding LEGAL ASPECTS OF CONSTRUCTION. This presentation will also address claims and claims avoidance, as affected by applicable laws, rules, customs, usage and practices in various jurisdictions, and to provide a guide for reduction of risk, claims, and product liability defense strategy in the construction industry.
Matthew Arvin graduated from Ave Maria School of Law after earning his undergraduate degree in History and Classics from Valparaiso University. Matthew has five years of experience in construction safety management where he has worked for clients such as Duke Energy, General Mills, Toyota, and General Motors. Additionally, he is an authorized OSHA trainer where he teaches OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 classes. Barred in Tennessee, Matthew’s legal expertise includes personal injury on the job site, and safety regulations in the construction industry. He resides in the Nashville area with his wife, Chelsea, and their dog Harper.
