This talk will briefly describe the eligibility requirements in Ohio for Long Term Care Medicaid, then describe a number of planning techniques to achieve Medicaid eligibility while maximizing asset protection, and common obstacles to Medicaid eligibility. While this is focused on Ohio law, the general principles have applicability in all States due to the Medicaid Act being federal enabling law that the various states must operate their Medicaid programs within.
